McGill HPC at Big Data Week 2015



Big Data Week (April 20 - 26, 2015) was a global event that brought together a global community of data scientists, data technologies, data visualisers and data businesses spanning six major commercial, financial, social and technological sectors.

The Big Data Week 2015 activities in Montréal included a strong presence by the McGill HPC team including the Big Data Week Kick-Off, a CUDA training workshop and by providing access to computational resources during the Big Data Hackathon.  Computational resources on Guillimin were used by over 20 groups participating in the Hackathon competition and were considered instrumental to the success of the team that won two of the Hackathon awards.
